Project: Tinkadin

What happens when the fairies of Neverland go to war? Probably something like what I've got in mind. This project began when I took a couple of quizzes on Facebook and discovered that my inner Disney princess is Tinkerbell (shudders) and that my inner World of Warcraft class is paladin. So, yeah, while I really do not like Tinkerbell and would prefer to see her squashed by a flyswatter, somehow the idea of putting her in full plate with a shield and a sword and having her call down holy vengence upon evil was oddly appealing. I completely forgot about the idea until a couple of friends decided to send me a Tinkerbell doll as a joke Christmas gift. The friend who handed it to me fully condones me turning Tink into a paladin and has gone so far as to help me, with much hard work, sore fingers, and stabbing of ourselves with screwdrivers, to make Tink's shield. I'll be posting pictures of this up as I complete things. Suggestions and comments are welcome.

Materials I'm planning to use:

1 plastic toy shield, center gem removed
1 strand of flat, oval shaped green beads
1 plastic cocktail sword
1 Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue Pixie Powered doll
1 roll heavy duty aluminum foil
sparkly gold fabric to simulate chain mail
gold paint
copper paint
green paint
